feel a bit reassured today

Post by Natsuko on Tue Jun 09, 2009 7:43 pm

Not sure if I've said before but since having my snake she has not eaten and I was starting to get worried about her and seriously considering finding her a home with someone who would be able to get her to eat, well my dad said he knew someone that also kept snakes and would get him to come and see me. Well today the guy came round and said my set up was fine, the snake seems healthy enough certainly alert etc... he also said it could be that we were offering her food that was too big for her as when we got her we were told to feed her baby rats called rat weeners which even I have to admit looked way too big compared to size of her tiny head. He says to try her with baby mice and if she wont take one next week, have to leave her for a week due to handling her, then to offer her another a few days later but to slice open its head so it can smell the brains... needless to say that part will be left to Chris to do.
