We are a blended family Empty We are a blended family

I have two children Imogen and Andrew from a previous relationship. My ex partner was violent towards me and Imogen and then when I found out I was pregnant with Andrew, my ex told me to abort it as he wanted nothing to do with it let alone Imogen. We ended up in a woman's refuge before I got a place with the council and then I met my current partner Alan.

Me and Alan have been together since July 2009. We are an engaged couple and happy and that he's taken on my two children as my his own.
Alan also has a daughter from a previous relationship too although he doesn't get to see her much!

It's hard for both Alan and myself and gets us both upset from time to time.

Is anyone else a blended family?

I was with someone who had a little girl, lovely wee thing but her mum neglected her, hardly ever saw her always papped her off to my partners gran and of course she started acting out which was to be expected as every kid wants there mummy but my ex-partner kept taking it to heart when she asked for her mummy which caused a lot of arguments tbh.

we're still great friends and i see them from time to time as my kids and his daughter got on great so i want this to continue x

yeah esp when you spend a fortune on the wee one and no one will say thanks be it the mum, my ex-partner or his mum

the mum was too busy eyeing up the clothes i got her and told me that she was taking them back with her...........she got told where to go.

Alans ex wife took one look at the car seat that takes the kids upto 5 and told him it wasnt good enough and that if he wanted to see his daughter then he had to go out and buy a new car seat for her to keep having contact, he was like well take it out the £157 a month you get out me from the CSA as im literally skint! she told him nope u pay for it!

This was in November....baring in mind we hd no money hardly...i was panicking my kids were getting nowt for christmas....and she wanted more money. Anyhow Alans parents bought the new car seat for Alan to have his daughter and it's now Feb and she still wont let him have her even though he has the car seat
