getting rather annoyed now
when he is at home or out and about with me or will or in laws or my mum- Tyler never wets himself, but too often at nursery he is wetting himself, its near every time he is there and some days more than once. What can i do? its really starting to annoy me and it must be annoying them surely?
Also on sunday i noticed a bite shaped bruise came up on his arm, he was last at nursery on thursday, so i asked him what happened and he said that a child at the nursery had bitten him because he had been annoying the child. he said the child got told off. no biggie. BUT they didnt tell me that he had been bitten and on that day he had two accidents... when i asked what happened this morning the girl said she would ask another member of staff, and when will picked tyler up today they didnt mention it.
what do i do next?

Re: getting rather annoyed now
You should mention it again about him being bitten.
As for him weeing, I think all kids have a tendency to get too engrossed in their play at nursery that they will wee themselves. I wouldnt worry too much about that myself, but just remind him when you drop him off that if he needs the toilet to go and not wait till hes desperate.
Good luck

i would speak about the biting incident for sure, as for the wetting we had it all last week. callie never wets herself with me but each day last week she did, think they just get engrossed in playing sometimes. when i ask callie why she wets she says she was too late to get to the toilet x
Re: getting rather annoyed now
I agree with everyone else to speak to them about the bite incident, I also agree on the wetting himself when engrossed in play as Morgan does this he has even started to do it more at home too especially if he is over excited and would rather play than take himself to the toilet unfortunately its one of those things with toddlers.

They have to report if your child gets hurt or even if anyone hurt him hun. Let them know and if nothing is done contact the headteacher about it. I had many problems with drake at the nursery and i put my foot down and spoke with them. They have change quite a lot so the best thing is always to be in comunication with them.

Re: getting rather annoyed now
hope you get the biting issue sorted hun...
about the wetting, could you ask the nursery staff to ask him occasionally if he needs a wee? Perhaps if they asked him every once in a while it'd prompt him to go?

Re: getting rather annoyed now
well there is no keyworker or family worker, its only a small nursery, theres literally the 5 women who look after the kids and a manager. Will told them to try to ask him if he needs a wee, so they washed and dried his clothes after he wet himself.
the bite thing i never found about in the end... nobody knew.
so i'll let that go but if it happens again i will speak to the manager and have it out with them. if he wets himself this week i will also be speaking to her, he never ever wets himself at home and on friday he did, so i think they need to keep on top of it , i ask him like every hour so they should do the same.
