After Elaines xmas tale post..

it got me thinking about my xmases when i was wee

i stopped beleiveing in santa at 6 and my wee sister was 4

we got up in xmas morning.......ran through to the living room and mum was sitting in the middle of the floor, the balcony door was opened slightly and my sicko mother was pretending to cry

do you know what she told us????????????

"SANTA'S DEAD MUMMY THOUGHT HE WAS A BURGLAR AND I SHOT HIM" THE POLICE HAVE TAKEN HIM AWAY SO YOU DON'T SEE HIM"

she did the same to mikey as well when he was about 4 but me and susan knew she was gonna do it so we had to break the news to him gently that it was mummy buying his pressies not santa

my stepkids dont beleive in santa either, they never have. The bio mum is a devout pentecostal and she reckons that father christmas is satans doing and stops kids from seeing what christmas is really about (jesus) Ive told her that if her kids breathe a word of that to tyler they wont be allowed in my house again. My mum was still pretending santa exists till i was pregnant and i had to say ok mum im 21, enough is enough.

OMG Angela that is terrible, my parents tried to have me believing in santa until my mid teens lol, needless to say I didn't and even pulled my dad on Christmas day when I was about 11 saying I'd seen him putting my stocking on my bed but he denied it. Must admit I don't ever want my kids to stop believing in Santa lol as it ruins the magic of christmas and makes most kids become spoilt brats lol. Chris mum and dad don't do the whole santa thing and it kind of saddens me.
