the nursey are driving me **UPDATE**
insane about kaden, he started last tuesday and wasn't in on the wednesday or thursday due to school trips and teacher strikes then was back in on friday, however i've had to stay with friday, yesterday and have to do the exact same everyday this week and he can only stay for an hour because he won't sit and gets stressed with them as they constantly ask him. they said that on the tuesday (his first day, when i left he had a complete melt down and started screaming for me) however when i've been there the last few days he's not even interested in me, as soon as he goes through the doors thats the last i see of him. They now want me to do this everyday until the end of term which is 21st july!!! but they will try and increase his time and "allow" me to leave for short periods! WTF??? I'm sorry but if they can't cope surely they should just say instead of messing me around and traumatising Kaden only for a few weeks as he screams and kicks off everyday when he has to leave.
Sorry for rambling and probably sounding selfish but i'm struggling to see where they think their helping kaden by doing things in small steps so close to the 6 weeks hols and then having to go through it all again after the summer!

Re: the nursey are driving me **UPDATE**
I'd perhaps suggest that you leave it for now and start a clean slate come september. Must admit I've never had this sort of thing happen as when Morgan has tantrumed they have taken him off me and within half hour he clams down. They also shouldn't be expecting a kid that has just started to know the nursery rules straight away about sitting down etc, thats just stupid and narrow minded.

Re: the nursey are driving me **UPDATE**
That does sound very stupid to me lol Matilda used to cry all the way to school and cling to me they peeled her off me and took her to do something she liked whilst i left and some days she did cry the whole time and others just for an hour or so but i was never asked to stay like you have been they said that it made it worse and if needs be they would take her from me at the door rather than me taking her into her classroom.
No kid knows how to behave at nursery at first there are rules and things are very different some go with the flow and others need some time to adjust and i guess by him starting now hes having a few weeks to get used to it then a long holiday then start again but i dont think you staying is going to help matters at all sounds like they cant cope lol
He will settle down tho so try not to worry and if you want like julie says just say you'l wait until september
xx

Re: the nursey are driving me **UPDATE**
That seems really stupid to me - if Zoe makes a scene going into nursery they just take her away and distract her and she settles down. Surely they must be used to kids who get upset or don't do as they're told? He's not going to learn if they keep making you stay and only let him stay for an hour - it;s not as though you'll be able to sit with him once he's at school so best to get him used to it now.
I have to say I don't know how Zoe's nursery get her to sit still for more than 5 minutes - I can't in the house lol

Re: the nursey are driving me **UPDATE**
Well i took Harrison into nursery this afternoon and spoke to one of the teachers (really lovely older teacher) and explained that i neither me or neil were happy with situation ect and how everytime kaden left he would scream and cry himself to sleep which would almost 2 hours everyday and was to the point of almost making himself sick, and that i would like to remove him from the nursery until september, which she said she fully understood and that she was happy for me to take kaden with me today and she would speak to the head master this afternoon and see what he had to say about it.
I went back at 3.25 to pick harrison back up and spoke to her again and everything has been cleared, kaden will start nursery in september after our holiday, they think he might do better in a morning session rather than afternoons as he won't be so tired and there will be fewer children in aswell, she also said that when i take harrison in i am more than welcome to take Kaden into the nursery to play whenever i want to, i they still want kaden to feel welcome and not like an outcast so to speak.
so i'm really pleased i said something now, and kaden has been much happier today x

Re: the nursey are driving me **UPDATE**
Hopefully when he starts in September he'll settle quickly.
I've been settling Rosie into her nursery this week.
