Snake is doing my head in
So I have had my python for over a month and she still hasnt eaten anything and it is starting to really annoy me. I have tried to not hold her etc for a week and then feed her however after almost a whole week of not handling her Chris only goes and gets her out for her cousin to see and that was the day she was going to be fed, so needless to say when I put the rat in she didnt eat it. She has shed twice since I got her and she had a poo the other day. I really want to get her to be an established feeder but this is taking the mick now, luckily I know they can go for months without eating and it is the period in which they do go through a phase of not eating but still I have wasted about 6 rats so far. She comes out on a night I know that much as I check her viv as have put a brown towel over it as thought the tv might have been bothering her. I think I'm going to have to get intouch with some of my reptile owning friends and see if they can show me how to get her to eat as whatever I try doesnt work grrrrr.... I just want to hold her as she is a lovely snake.

Re: Snake is doing my head in
I was thinking of trying a mouse or a baby chick. Might buy one and see after all they are pretty cheap. She was out last night had climbed up onto the cork bark and was trying to explore the top of the viv lol... so she is def happy in her home. Will try her next week with some more food. perhaps she might take a live one but really dont want to go down that road as have kept pet mice in the past.
